Where does the honey come from?
Australia. It's made by Australian bees, sourced from Australian beekeepers and packed in Australia. Every pack is made in Australia from 100% Australian ingredients.
What does "raw" mean?
We don't cook our honey at high temperatures. We gently warm it so it can be poured, strained and bottled, and that's all.
What does "unfiltered" mean?
We strain our honey to take out wax and bee parts, but we don't filter it. Straining lets the good stuff through, pollen included.
My honey has gone solid. Is it still OK?
Yes. Real honey crystallises, especially when it's cool, and it's perfectly good to eat. To make it runny again, sit the bottle in a bowl of warm water until the crystals melt. Skip the microwave and boiling water.
How should I store it?
At room temperature, below 25 °C. That slows the natural process of crystallisation.
Can babies have honey?
No. Honey is not suitable for infants under 12 months.
Is it gluten free?
Yes. Nate's Honey is gluten free, and the bottle is BPA free.
Do you test your honey?
Yes. We test the purity of our honey to ensure it's authentic, safe and delicious. That's what the Purity Guarantee seal on the front of the pack stands for.
Where can I buy it?
At Woolworths supermarkets. We don't sell online or have a store of our own.
Is this the same honey as Nature Nate's?
Yes. Nature Nate's is now Nate's Honey. Same honey, same bees.
